This Instagram Mural Tour takes you on a delightful journey through the most colorful streets of Sand City, known for some of Monterey County’s best art and music festivals including Sand City’s West End Celebration which typically takes place every August. For 1-1.5 hours, your guide will share with you the history and charm of its West End Arts District, where streets and alleyways are filled with inspiring murals by both local and traveling artists. Throughout your walking tour, expect to see several murals and learn the story behind the art. 
Your guide is there to take photos of you and your group in fun, expressive, and creative ways on a smartphone, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment and camera to photograph these colorful public art pieces in your own way. Within 48 hours of your tour, your guide emails you edited photos in a digital album to use however you wish.

  • Does the tour run on rainy days?

    We reserve the right to cancel the reservation based on poor/unsafe weather conditions. In the event we must cancel due to the weather you will receive a full refund for the entire tour.

  • When will we receive the photos our guide captured?

    You’ll receive retouched photos within 48 hours of the tour’s conclusion.

  • What should I bring with me?

    We recommend bringing your own camera for capturing photos.

  • Important Information

    Depending on the time of day, many buildings create cool shade. Since we may linger in these shady areas for photographs, we recommend layers of clothing so you’re comfortable no matter the temperature.

  • What fitness level is recommended for this tour?

    This is a walking tour, but the walks are relatively short distances with breaks. This experience is appropriate for most fitness levels.

  • What should I wear for the tour?

    Wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for walking.

  • Where can I find parking?

    You can park in the parking lot surrounding Post No Bills, or take advantage of any available street parking.
