The Great Carmel Caper Scavenger Hunt



The Great Carmel Caper is one of the most unique and exciting team-building activities along the Central Coast. Your adventure begins when your host(s) greets you and handles sign-in.  They will ensure every participant knows their team, has their app downloaded, and is ready to play!
When everyone is ready to begin, there is a brief orientation to go over the rules and how to win (or lose) points. Most of the game consists of a series of creative challenges and location-based clues that you discover through the scavenger hunt app. Once the starting bell sounds, the teams set off on their adventures! The players track down clues and complete challenges along the way. 
During the scavenger hunt, team members can see the other players’ photos and videos in a live feed on the app. They can also check out the leaderboard to feel motivated for the competition. At the end of the game, entries are closed, the teams are scored, and a winner is declared. We are happy to customize the tour to suit your needs, and we can even set up pre-purchased wine, snacks, and prizes (additional charge) for your group.

Meeting Points

The Great Carmel Caper typically begins and ends in Devendorf Park , however we are happy to change the starting and ending locations to suit your group’s needs.

  • How many participants can join?

    Up to 100 participants can join per group scavenger hunt. There is a minimum charge for 20 participants, however we are happy to accommodate groups of less than 20.
  • Can my group customize our experience?

    We are able to change the start location, end location, and duration of the scavenger hunt to best suit the needs of your group. We can also include special announcements during the introduction or conclusion. For an extra fee, we can add destination missions that include wine, chocolates, baked goods, nuts, or honey, for your participants to hunt down and enjoy.
  • What fitness level is recommended for this tour?

    The hunt occurs in a 4-block radius that may include mild elevation changes. The goal is to get the most points, which often means moving quite alot. This experience is appropriate for fitnes levels that include regular walking.


What should I wear for the tour?

Wear comfortable clothing—we recommend dressing in layers—and walking shoes.
