Your tour guide will greet you at the Carmel Plaza entrance on Ocean Avenue.  After you’ve parked in the parking garage, accessible from Mission Street (between Ocean & 7th), you’ll make your way to the fountain courtyard entrance on Ocean Avenue.  From there, your guide will escort you on a meandering path to visit three to four very special, hand-selected venues where you’ll enjoy house specialties and local wines.  Each tasting partner will leverage their talents in order to provide a one-of-a-kind tasting experience that you might not find on their regularly-offered menu.  Use this tour not only as a way to become acquainted with the unique culture of Carmel-by-the-Sea, but to fulfill the aperitif and hors d’oeuvre portion of your special evening plans.

Escape the ordinary and explore these hidden gems

Caraccioli Cellars

Going the extra length to deliver distinctive sparkling & still wines through the utilization of top-tier grapes from the Santa Lucia Highlands.

La Playa Hotel

Home to the Bud Allen Happy Hour, this iconic Carmel bar offers a cocktail menu based on drinks developed in other iconic hotel bars.

Cantinetta Luca

It could be a specialty cocktail, or perhaps a seasonal 'cello (our fave is the kumquat), but whatever they serve will be thoughtfully prepared and oh-so-tasty!

Cypress Inn - Terry's Lounge

Doris Day's legacy: A pet-friendly hotel still owned and managed by her long-time business partner, Terry's Lounge boasts creative craft cocktails and a vintage vibe.

Trio Carmel

Best known for their art and olive oil, the third in this Trio is their selection of boutique wines. Sample some of the smallest productions in Monterey County right here!

Brophy's Tavern

Carmel's best-known bar for sports and sustenance will give you a choice of any of their tap favorites - including the Monterey Mule

Grasing's Coastal Cuisine

With one of the most charming bartenders in town, this perfect corner will whet your appetite (and then serve you dinner if you stick around/return)

Scheid Vineyards

Small lot, sustainable wines in the heart of Monterey County. With ten estate vineyards many different varieties are grown in a spectrum of styles.

Carmel Plaza is located between Ocean & 7th Avenues, and Junipero & Mission Streets. There are no addresses in Carmel-by-the-Sea, so to use your navigation you should enter the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Mission Street. The parking garage entrance can be accessed from Mission Street only, and is paid parking. For free parking you can go to the parking lot at the Sunset Cultural Center, located on 8th Avenue between Mission and San Carlos. The fountain is located on Ocean Avenue.
